    ISCA TECHNOLOGIES INTRODUCES ORGANIC SPLAT™ MATING DISRUPTION FORMULATION FOR LIGHT BROWN APPLE MOTH (LBAM)

    ISCA Technologies, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has received EPA registration approval for SPLAT LBAM LD™, an organic product for the control of the light brown apple moth (LBAM), Epiphyas postvittana.

    SPLAT LBAM LD uses ISCA’s proprietary SPLAT technology which provides an extremely safe and efficient alternative to traditional pesticides. SPLAT products are revolutionizing the way we protect our food from pests by making the process cleaner and environmentally safer. In many cases SPLAT is not only as effective, but more effective than using a traditional insecticide.

    SPLAT LBAM LD is the newest integrated pest management tool that has been developed by ISCA Technologies to control populations of the invasive light brown apple moth. SPLAT LBAM LD modulates the release of a nature-identical copy of the LBAM sex pheromone, which disrupts the chemical communication between male and female moths. This disruption drastically reduces the probability of successful mating. Mating disruption causes the pest population to stop reproducing  which ultimately results in collapse of the moth population and control of the pest. ISCA Technologies already has one mating disruption product, SPLAT LBAM HD™, registered with EPA and in the State of California for the control of LBAM. All SPLAT formulations are safe for use in residential areas and safe for the environment because only food grade ingredients are used. SPLAT LBAM LD takes integrated pest management to a new level with a formulation that is classified as organic by EPA.
