LURES

ISCA's environmentally friendly and species specific insect lures are made from nature identical, high quality components. These insect lure blends are then incorporated within one of several types of dispensers. These tailor made dispensers can be readily produced in quantities from hundreds to millions.

Generally, unopened insect lures encapsulated in rubber septa should be stored in air-tight bags and refrigerated; for longer storage life of 2 years, freezer storage is recommended.

ISCA Delta Trap

After a few days in the field, hundreds of male citrus leafminers are captured on the sticky liner of the delta trap.

ISCA has the proven experience to manufacture insect pheromone lures in large batches of hundreds of thousands or million of lures. ISCA also quality tests its batches of lures with GC analysis to maintain high standards of consistency. In the picture above, each bag contains 1,500 Iscalure-Tuta, a pheromone lure for the monitoring/mass trapping of the tomato leafminer Tuta absoluta. The lures are subsequently private labelled and re-packaged in smaller quantities as insect trap kits by ISCA's distributors in South America, Europe and Africa.

Are all pheromone lures the same for an insect species ? No !

Here are the reasons that ISCA’s insect lures are the best quality lures that you will find :

  • Isomeric purity

  • Pheromone blend and loading

  • Lure dispenser technology

  • Insect trap technology

  • Lab and competitive field testing

  • Collaborative efforts with associate researchers
