Torula yeast attractant lure for selected fruit fly species, ideal for the olive fruit fly,
Bactrocera oleae and spotted wing drosophila,
Drosophila suzukii. Manufactured in convenient to use pellets, 1 lb = 90 pellets. Pellets include borax (a natural mineral), which maintains acidity of torula yeast solution at suitable level, and slows down decomposition of captured insects. Packaged in ruggedized rain-proof re-sealable plastic container (with carrying handle) suitable for field use, which also protects pellets from moisture or disintegration due to excessive friction or pressure during transportation or storage.
AT800 Torula Yeast Bait Pellets are developed and field tested specifically for fruit fly trapping programs, and manufactured to conform to U.S. Department of Agriculture specifications.
These are the same lures selected and deployed by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and various US state departments of agriculture for monitoring and trapping programs for fruit fly species which respond to torula yeast.
